Frist of all, this comment is not specific for the store in Framingham, but Lowe's just gave me the worst online shopping experience ever. I ordered a dinning bench two weeks ago and asked for store pick up. 10 days passed. No phone call. No email. I was gonna wait till I found the same bench on Amazon at much cheaper price. So I decide to call their customer service line to cancel my order. The representative is very unprofessional. I had to repeat my order# several times, which is fine. After a long wait, he came back saying he can't cancel my order because Framingham store is closed. Totally BS. It was just 9pm. I questioned why the website says that store opens till 10pm on Fri., that customer representative just answered: if they don't pick up the phone, there is NOTHING I can do. I was so pissed off and asked him transferred me to his supervisor. This guy doesn't even know how to transfer my call, so I got transferred to the "after call" service survey instead. That guy's supervisor eventually called me back and I finally can cancel my order (again, proofing that representative is BSing), but I am sure I won't buy anything from them anymore. BTW, I was able to get the same bench from Amazon, and my order got delivered just in 2 days.
I'm here almost every day. I love that I can bring my dog. The associates are all great. Management is also very customer-focused and it shows. By far the best Lowe's in the area.
Lowe's has a better grade of pretty much everything than Home Depot. Today I was just looking for corner braces, but Lowe's version has a better zinc coating and costs less.
Time and time again reminds me why it's better to go the little bit extra distance and go to Home Depot. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired here. Went to buy a 41" tool chest. After paying for the chest I was told to wait at the front registers for the chest. After about 30-40 min they roll out with the floor model which is broken. After explaining the them that I paid for a new tool chest they replied that this is all that that had. This would have been nice to know beforehand because the floor model had a dent in the top big enough to prevent the top drawer from opening. After seeing if we could work something out, they offered $50 discount on this ~$700 purchase for this problem to which I promptly asked for a refund. After receiving the refund they asked that I wait and give them 5 minutes to see if they can find a comparable chest. 15 minutes later I start looking for them only to see them helping another customer instead. Everything leading up to that point was annoying but that was just completely frustrating. Over an hour of my time wasted which could have been resolved from the start of the process. After cooling off we went to Home Depot and received above and beyond service and significantly better prices. Lesson learned. I'll drive the extra 5 minutes, every time.
I've been in here several times from minor lightbulb replacement to installing flooring and just had some lumber cut for my son's bed. Everyone was always very pleasant in and out in a timely fashion, never feel rushed.
